For a fast-growing company like intelligentfood, an agile and effective sales force is critical. The field sales team, which manages indirect sales channels for brands like El Tony Mate, urgently needed a modern, mobile solution to support their daily work.

The core problems were clearly defined:

  • Inefficient Visit Planning: Planning customer visits was cumbersome and not data-driven.
  • Lack of Mobile Support: The team lacked a central app with access to all relevant customer data, service information, and custom features.
  • Fragmented System Landscape: Data from the legacy system (Zoro) was not seamlessly connected to the new S/4HANA Public Cloud ERP.
  • Extreme Time Pressure: The solution had to go live extremely quickly to avoid jeopardizing sales targets.

They needed a partner who could not only implement a standard cloud solution but also deliver highly specific mobile requirements in record time.

The Solution

Using an agile project model, we delivered a comprehensive and customized solution in just three months—despite the summer holiday period.

  • Implementation of Core Systems: SAP Sales Cloud V2 and SAP Service Cloud V2 were introduced as the foundation.
  • Development of Custom Apps on BTP: The heart of the solution is the side-by-side extensions we developed with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) on the BTP (Cloud Foundry). These provide the field team with custom features for visit planning, custom views, and an integrated telephony solution directly on their mobile devices.
  • Deep Integration: A robust bridge to the S/4HANA Public Cloud was created via the SAP Integration Suite. We also handled the necessary configurations on the ERP side to ensure a smooth end-to-end process.
  • Migration and Go-Live: We managed the complete data migration from the legacy system Zoro and ensured a seamless transition.

This combined approach of standard software and custom development allowed us to perfectly unite speed and individuality.
